The Devotion: Hebrews 4:15-16

Good morning family,
It is early Labor Day morning, and I am resting, praying 🙏🏾 and thinking 🤔 about God’s goodness. He is Awesome in Greatness, yet He understands my feebleness.
I for so long had the focus of “weaknesses” (feebleness) in Hebrews 4:15 wrong 😑 that’s right…we in our earthly 🌍
minded selves can miss it. 😳
But… God in His mercy and grace does not see it as having something WRONG in our understanding if our hearts are still soft toward him to LEARN. We have to be enlightened in His Truth, and that is the “work” of the Holy Spirit! He is our teacher!!
Are you listening???
The God who understands my feebleness in mind and body speaks to the fact He left His throne in Glory and took on humanity (flesh and bones). That is why He too leaned into the Holy Spirit while in His earth suit.
So… on this Labor Day, remember that every moment of the day we can Co-labor with the Holy Spirit!
❤️ Doc
“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.”
Hebrews 4:15-16 NASB
