Watching the news last night I was troubled by listening to the detail of another school shooting. In my AP Psychology class we talked briefly about what goes on in someone’s mind 🧠 to think to do something like that? We are just now getting into the biology of psychology, and I shared with them them it’s chemical! Then someone said “drugs” and I said “it could be…or a lack of drugs” listening to what the young people thought about what shapes the mind, and the age old question of nature vs nurture. Is it genetics 🧬 or is it how they were raised(the surroundings of their every day life)? We came to the conclusion it is a combination of the two and then some.

I believe that God designed us to be transformed in our minds by the power of His Word! Peter tells us God has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him (God). The more we know Him the more we grow in Him. In Jesus prayer In Gethsemane He shared: “ And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” John 17:3 ESV

Let’s start with the relationship! When we have read(red) we can know what He said! 😉His Word can teach us not only what He said but what He is like!
It is spiritual nature and nurture! Let’s renew our minds today!!
