In the early years of my becoming a follower of the Lord. We would sing 🎶 🎤 a song with lyrics…”welcome into this place, welcome into this broken vessel.” I was taught that The Lord ministers to broken people. The scripture tells us that we are vessels of clay. Sometimes our clay pots have cracks.
So often the people of God have been living in conflict, probably because we feel we are always right or have to prove to others that we have all the right answers. We must remember, the world is in need of Who is inside our “broken vessel” .
When Mary came into the room with her alabaster box, the scriptures says “she broke the jar” to anoint Jesus. When a small vile of perfume is cracked in my purse, the smell is all over everything in my purse 👜 . I believe with Mary…the fragrance filled the room, and lingered a while. Brothers and sisters it is OK to be broken! Let the presence of The Lord restore you, and the fragrance of the throne room will change the atmosphere.
God still uses “cracked pots” 😉
